ÂN-UPDATES with Aly #005

Hi fam,

Can we just pause for a second and celebrate that fall is finally here? September always feels like the ultimate reset button—a time to refocus, recalibrate, and get back into our groove after the beautiful chaos of summer.

I mean, let's be honest: summer feels like a mad dash, right? We're out here trying to fit in every adventure and soak up every bit of sunshine.  But when it's all said and done, how do we actually reset? How do we take a step back, breathe deeply, and ask ourselves: Where am I now, and where do I want to go?

Lately, I've been thinking about something called the "Winter Arc." Ever heard of it? It's all about using the colder, darker months (starting October 1st!) to refocus, dream, and plan out the path to your goals. Think of it like a season of intentional growth, where every frosty morning becomes a chance to inch closer to where you want to be. And boy, does it get frosty here in the good ol' Inland PNW!

So here's what I'm doing to get ready:

First, I'm checking in with myself, asking where I'm at right now and what what my big goals are. Then, I'm breaking those goals down into smaller, bite-size steps. My morning routine is bulletproof, and I live and die by it (if you follow me on IG, you know, haha), but I want to add a few new little habits, like journaling and consistent gratitude practice. Join me!

Next, I'm shifting my mindset and shifting my perspective to see these darker, colder months as as a time to reset, reassess. Instead of thinking about winter as a time to slow down, I'm focusing on using that time for internal growth. It's about patience, persistence, and really embracing the stillness to nurture my goals.
Finally, I'm finding that balance between growth and self-care. The Winter Arc for me isn't about pushing myself to the edge—it's about mindful, intentional growth. I'm making sure to carve out space for rest and self-care because, let's be real, we all need that recharge.

Speaking of transitions... We’re elbows deep in Black Friday prep, and I cannot wait to share this year’s gift with purchase with you.  You know we always love to one-up ourselves each year, and this time, we've really outdone ourselves if I don't say so myself.

I always get a little giddy during this time of year. We put our heart and soul into every detail, and I KNOW this year’s GWP will have you over the moon. I’ve been working closely with the team on it, and I’m beyond excited for you to see what’s coming. Whether you’re a loyal fan or new to the fam, this is going to feel like the ultimate treat.

On a more personal note, I’ve been reflecting on how much transitions shape us. When life throws a challenge or change our way, our first instinct is to resist it. But what if we leaned in instead? Like the seasons, transitions can bring new growth and beauty if we embrace them and gosh, sometimes, it just comes down to shifting our perspective. Life really is a game, and the sooner we realize that, the better off we are. Learn to play the game darling, none of us are getting out alive anyway, haha.

I just finished rereading The Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz for the 8th time (yep, 8th, haha). One quote really hit home for me this time:

"Don’t take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering."

And my favorite takeaways from the book of course;

I'd love to hear what season of life you're in right now! Drop me an email or DM me on IG @alykorchemniy—I really do love hearing from you all.

All my love,
